Our PHILOSOPHY
Our focus is on General Physical Preparedness (GPP) because fitness is not about what you look like, but what you are capable of. We pull from multiple disciplines to create a broad, general and inclusive program. Here at Tidal you will be training for life, not just to be good at fitness or to look a certain way.
Building strength is our ultimate goal, but with strength also comes the necessity to be flexible, to be fast and to be agile. Life can be unknown and we want you to be prepared for it. Think squat, push, pull, run, jump, drag, press and throw as opposed to bicep curls and leg extensions. The body works as a unit, so let’s train it that way.
GPP has the power to change you physically, mentally and emotionally. Let’s do it together!
Do I have to be fit to join?
We get this question a lot and we often hear ‘I need to get fit before I join’
The short answer is NO! We are here to HELP you! But, it is ideal to have a baseline of strength and Conditioning so you don’t feel too out of it.
Coach Brendan runs through a simple baseline strength and conditioning test you can do at home. If you can complete this, then you will be just fine!
Equipment needed: Kettlebell or Dumbbell or a bag full of books - some kind of weight!
